Hey everyone. Today is Good Friday, for those who celebrate. For others, it's a paid holiday. For me, it probably means people will be calling all day because they have the day off and they waited until it was convenient for them to deal with a medical issue. I'm not feeling well today, I had a lot of trouble sleeping last night and when I finally did fall asleep I had nightmares. Not sure why, I was practically falling asleep on the couch before I went to bed. And my back was ok with me running yesterday but I definitely still can't bend down, Imade it a little worseby not being careful enough last night. It's also supposed to rain every day for almost the next week, which isn't helping anything. I really hope work is slow today, I can't deal with it being busy again. I need to order prints of a couple drawings today, and maybe sign up for the art show-I have til the middle of May to do that but I'd rather get it over with. I already can't wait to go to bed tonight.

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

I'nm exhausted. This doxycycline thing has ripped me apart and I'm eating crackers and water. I can't take (anything) or eat (anything) except saltines and toast and maybe unbuttered watery mashed potatoes. Are we sure the cure isn't worse than the possible disease?!?!And a week to go. ***Fun cures that WERE worse than the disease:ARsenic. Popular against STDs, which just compounded misery...

Angela, what a cool teacher and how awesome that she is coming to visit you! I don't know if I kept in touch with any of my past teachers... and my favorite one died of leukemia before I graduated HS.
The imaging center wants me to come in 2 hours early since I forgot the barium... so they can give it to me there. I guess they need 2 hours between taking it and starting the images.
Okay I seriously looked this up on Amazon and it says for the elderly. (sticks out tongue). :-)
blue, I hope it goes well, sorry you have to go so early
Another rainy, chilly , painful day. This is day 2 of my lower legs and knees hurting bad as well as my hip/leg . Imagine a spewing of swear words here.
Happy Birthday Wonder.
Twin - that surgery sounds painful. I think it is cruel they wont give you real pain meds post op. I hope you have some MMJ for post op. I have used those grabber things for years because of my spine - definitely not just for the elderly. I need a new one soon, mines is very old The ones I have had only grab very light things , maybe the newer ones are better.
I am off to prepare an ice bag. Hopefully I can get the pain down enough so that making dinner isnt torture. I got take out yesterday , so I dont want to do that again today.
The land lord came and towed my truck out of the hole. I owe him a thanks but I hope he's not mad at the ditch my truck left... it's his fault anyway for having the fruit stand taken apart right in the middle of the driveway so that I'd ended up doing a U-y on the grass and got stuck.
