We're home! This time the pest control laid it on so thick the floors are *oiled*. (We have no carpeting.) I defy any flea to survive. Heck, I can't walk. We're wearing rubber soles and still ice skating. Mwyahahaha! Perhaps now we can get the pestilent vermin to die die die and stop spending nights in hotels!
Anyway, all this super-triggering super-wearing-out stuff means I am in the deep shinola everywhere. I mean, nothing I say is right. I am rude. I am loud. I am defensive. I am disrespectful. (All that from a person who then e-mailed me to tell me more about it after telling me in person. Did I interrupt her? Yes. Was she spouting something that's been debunked? YES. That makes me angry. If you must repeat crap, repeat *accurate* crap.) Anyway.... So apparently I suck! Woohooooo! I anger everyone of late just by being me! I have a new talent! Can I get on American Idol now?

For those who were rooting for the Bears last night... Yeah. Sorry. Bummer.
So today in history... It was all really depressing. Yikes.
So, there's a book subtitled "Autobiography of a Horse". (Which of itself would catch the eye.) Actual title? Black Beauty.
Medical terminology headache warning! "Oversecretion of sebaceous glands" is how doctors define... Acne. *headdesk* Wow.
IN one of technology's great jokes, tinned food showed up in 1810=---that is, the tin can for food did---but it didn't take off right away. Why? For real, they didn't invent a can opener until 1860. Uhhh... OK? Wait, what? Huh?
Believei t or not, counting cricket chirps does actually ehlp you figure out temperature, but rather more vitally, I want to point out that if there aren't any crickets chiirping, you probably should consider the weather "Cold" and be done with it. The simplest version of the formula (less accurate with the common field cricket) is: T = 40 + N(sub15). In other words, Temperature (Fahrenheit) equals forty plus the number of chirps in fifteen seconds. This appeared in an 1887n paper by Amos Dolbear, who was actually preceded in 1881 by Margarette Brooks. Nevertheless, the law is still known as "Dolbear's Law". Incidentally, he never did a good job specifying cricket species, so if you're listening to the average crickets? Don't bet your life on the cricket chirps. Some species change their chirp rate because of mating season, ages, gender... Ah, yeah, never mind.
Why is beer bitter? Hops. Guess what? Without the hops, you dn't get the same drowsy feeling, either. Hops are used in herbal medicine to help people relax and sleep. (Use wisely, and sparingly, in herbal infusions.)
Many of us joke that if we dislike our weather, wait ten minutes, it will change. Not so on Jupiter. The big red spot, which is a storm? Ongoing at least 300 years based on our astronomical observations. Yeah, that's.. wow.

I'm feeling very down on myself (tummy flabby) and I'm still stuck not cleaning my house much, soooo.... Yeah. Whatever. I'm not doing great mood-wise, so Ig uess I'll sign off and drown my sorrows in the chocolate leading to the tummy flabby, etc. *headdesk* BTW, it's going to be summer gtemps here until end of September, eek! Am so glad we have AC!
Lovely day, all!

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. (See: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for a grotesquely racist version of it, and Charlotte Perkins...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

Twin, I would have liked to see that on video. Her poor head though. I'm glad she giggled! Kids can be so cute. I'm sorry your pain and anxiety is on the rise. You know, I don't understand this anxiety thing... I had to peel carrots the other night and I was freaking out about it. I thought I was going to have a melt down right in the kitchen... over stupid carrots! Anyway, I'll be keeping you in my prayers today... and hope you get through the day ok.
Precious, I like how you start out on the beaches of Honolulu... I'm sorry that it takes a turn down ugly memory lane, though. Have you ever done imagery therapy? When I was in chronic pain we used to practice taking our minds to a peaceful place, maybe a waterfall, a beach, or creek... and "listen" to the sounds, smells, feel the sunbeams on our skin, the wet mist, warm sand, sweet or salty air, etc. And it often helped us fall asleep to something peaceful.
I also found this other kind of imagery therapy on line. It is a therapy just for nightmares. I don't know if they have this in your area, but you can look for it. https://www.verywell.com/imagery-rehearsal-treatment-for-nightmares-2797657
Ida, I'm sorry you had to go to the ER. I hate hospitals / ERs. And I hate being cold. Those places are so uncomfortable and creepy. I really hope you feel better soon. Wow, good luck with that stress test. I hope it's nothing but at the same time if you really have something they need to treat, I hope it shows itself. But praying you're all good.
Fantod, I hope your stalker does well. lol. My vet is 5 mins away too. I love it. No time for them to fuss. Enjoy genealogy or whatever it is you decide to do.
Angela, I'm sorry your pain is high again. Feeling too exhausted to sleep is actually more common than you think. Hope you finally get some rest and the pain backs down. Hugs
Blue, yes, a vet only 5 minutes away is a blessing. Ours is 7 minutes in bad weather. *whew*
GREAT NEWS: Mom's oncologist says she can finish radiation after this week, and not come back for 3 months, instead of the original 6 weeks:-) *happy dance*
Blue, the anxiety is ridiculous isn't it. I completely know how you feel. I'm so stressed about a church event this weekend, that I'm thinking for my health I need to not attend. Everything puts me over the edge. I think it's b/c our pain stays so high and our bodies can't cope with more demands. We need an eternal break. Hang in there.
Leo, that's great news! Happy dance from my office.
Twin, yes little things seem like such a big challenge. That's why I'm thinking if I can't find some company to go with me to the hotel liquidation today I probably won't go. I don't know if I can handle all that commotion by myself. And if you don't think the church event isn't a good idea, then you shouldn't force it. Yes, we do need a break! I can't wait for my birthday B & B reservation. I blocked off my calendar "no appts", no responsibilities, no nothing. Just relax, eat fruit every morning, enjoy the beach, and hot tub! Such a nice gift! Gee, who thought of that? LOL. Har har. I wish a few of my friends from DS could join.
Getting over my very bad appointment with the NP, and have an appointment with a new sinus doc.
Re Calms Forte: another homeopathic remedy works better for me. It's called Quietude by Borion. It helps me more to get back to sleep, but if Calms Forte works, that's great.
Hope all if not good now, will be better soon.
The stalker survived her trip to the v-e-t. And the vet survived her. I spent part of the day working on genealogy which was very enjoyable. Swam in the bitterly cold pool. Waiting on dinner and watching Netflix. Sweet dreams to all!
