I cannot help you with any of the Med stuff...as I am Med Sensitive and have to go the more Natural route...just wanted to PoP in and offer support and Hopes that they get the Med & dosage amounts right enuff for you to Enjoy Life once again !! Hugs !

The only thing I have had trouble with is the neurontin, I was on it for 6 months at a low dose and started having horrible stomach problems, the indigestion, then nausea, My pc took me off of it and it all went away, she said I can not be on any type of this med .... So you may be the same, anytime they change meds all at once it can really mess with your body, the blood sugar thing happened with me on the neurotin I would call my doc, about these symptoms, I don't know about the other med you are on. hope you find out what is causing this

ok how long were you on other meds, you may be going threw withdraws from stopping them to fast, look in to , it can make you feel like your gonna die, esp, the pain meds, you have to ease your self off them, where you from, i have found a wonderful caring, compassion, doctor, he is the greatest, he cares and listens,

This is a lot of information but we should be more informed at what doctors want to put in our bodies. I'm not a doctor but I am a person that likes to do research. If I were you, I would talk to your doctor about the risk or taking Prozac with Savella and the Prozac with the Neurontin. With both Prozac and Savella, you cannot quit these cold turkey. I personally would not be taking Savella or the Neurontin either due to side effects.

Wow! Thanks for all the info! I just realized something last night while researching side effects. I started Seroquel about 6 weeks ago and this awful pain started 4 weeks ago. Coincidence or not? I stopped the Prozac when he started the Savella and he promised me that it wouldn't hurt me to stop as long as I took the Savella. He said part of the Savella was a drug just like prozac. The pain is already getting better but I just don't know if I can tolerate the side effects. I'm only on 200 mg. of neurontin a day until tomorrow and I'm supposed to increase to 200 mg. twice a day for a week, then go to 200 mg. 3 times a day until I get to 1200 mg. total a day. 200 mg. makes me drunk as a coot so I don't see how I can do anymore. Again, thanks for all the help...I am seriously considering something else.

Also, Neurontin, and Lyrica are both seizure drugs. If you do not have a seizure disorder, you have to expect that when the doctors put you on that, it will affect your brain. Usually you feel drowsy, or impaired, as it slows down brain activity;. Neurontin is also used for bi polar and mood balancing. If it works fine, but be very careful.

espivey, my guess (and again, I'm not a doctor) would be the Savella. Your doctor should not have had you quit the Prozac, rather he should have had you wean off it, then wait at least 5 days, then start a new one. I could not tolerate Neurontin. At 300mg, I was dopey and tired. I was supposed to go to 600mg but was totally drugged out. I ended up putting on two different coloured shoes and, I gained about 30 lbs in 2 months or so.

After having Fibro for 24 years, I highly recommend the low dose Naltrexone. It's fairly new for Fibro but not a new drug (been around for decades for MS, cancer, HIV etc.) It's the only one I know of that has such benefits..boosts immune system, reverses pain signals to the brain, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant etc.

You couldn't pay me a million dollars to try Savella or go back on Neurontin.

I'd talk to my pharmacist and then mention which drugs the pharmacist suggested to your doctor, that is if you have a stubborn doctor.

I, too, have had negative effects in only a few days. The mood swings have been crazy and trying, but then the itching began after 2 1/2 days. It took me 24 hours to realize that it must be the Savella, so that's it for me! I didn't really need the nausea, either. While I'd love to lose the weight I have acquired on Lyrica, nausea isn't my chosen method of choice!!

Update on new meds.....
Side effects are better. I took a Prilosec first thing this morning and I am not nauseated today. This was the first day of taking neurontin in the a.m. also and I am a little drunk but was able to make the bed, vacuum and take the trash out so I can deal with that. I wouldn't drive, but I can function here. The pain is a little less each day. I feel hopeful.

I'm into 4th week on Savella. Nausea seems to have passed finally...it was pretty awful there for a while but decided I would stick with it because I did notice some improvement. Just hang in there is my advice.

People are being diagnosed with diabetes while taking Seroquel. My mom was taking it and she had to be rushed to the ER. She was flatlining. Thank God they brought her back. She collapsed several times before she refused to take anymore Seroquel. She was also diagnosed with diabetes when she\'s never before had problems. Google "Seroquel and diabetes" and see what comes up.

Neurontin is also a very powerful med that can do some strange things... People are suffering from dulled mental function on top of all kinds of problems. I refused to take it. This stuff changed my dad and sister - along with other people in my family & some friends who took it. I wouldn\'t want my most mortal enemy to take either of those meds.

I just started Savella. When I got up to full dose, got some nausea. Crackers help. Take it with food. My son has used Seroquel. That is a powerful antipsychotic. I know it made him have chills and sleep like the dead. Of the one\'s you are taking, I\'d be looking to get off of that. I don\'t really know about neurontin. Whew, it seems like a lot.
