Epstein-Barr Virus ???

Hello everyone, hope you are having a day of less pain and more energy.


I was wondering if any of you have ever been told or are aware of having the


Epstein-Barr Virus ?  I've been doing alot of research - as usual - and this


keeps coming up in my reading.  Any info would be soooo appreciated !

EBV is present but inactive in a lot of people, with or w/o fibro. Viral loads vary person to person in general, and by viral load, I mean how many viruses (inactive/dead/otherwise) are floating around in a system. There've been attempts to link one or two or ten to any given disease, but at this point? Eh. I was exposed to EBV in college, never got sick from it, only found out b/c they tested for it when I had my fibro cehcked out. To make sure I didn't have mono. So that's what I've got after 20 years in the fibro fight. Cheers.

Leo , thank you so much for your response. All information is good information - at least we can rule it out !! Clearly you know after 20 years !! So sorry for that !
Also, I am saddened and so disappointed in the terrible weekend news and events.
Praying for all involved and our country as a whole ! Who could have guessed this mess.

-Yes, had Mono in high school and was checked for the virus after being diagnosed with Fibro decades later and tested positive.

Yes, I tested positive for Epstein-Barr in college, many many (many ) years ago. The doctor gave me B12 shots, told me to take vitamins, eat right, rest ( I was exhausted!), try and exercise and get sone sun. It's very easy for a doctor to do a blood test and check.

A friend of mine sent me this link (I'll warn you, its nearly 2 hours long lol), and I found it very interesting. It took me a few separate times to watch it, but it's two doctors speaking about causes of Fibromyalgia, and they do mention the virus in here. In the end, there's no answers for what to do in this video, but I found it still helpful just knowing some more information. I hope you find some time to watch it, and enjoy it as much as I did :)
