If I am careful about what I do and eat, I typically feel good. But, I am also very sensitive. Here are two things that bothered me recently. I am sharing them with you because if you don't feel good most of the time you might not notice what specifically ratcheted up your pain.
Wearing a "heavy" necklace will induce pain in my upper back. Ridiculous, but true. I knew not to use a heavy purse, but REALLY?!
Vinyl or room scent, not sure which one. It happened twice this week I walked into 2 different furniture stores that had a lot of vinyl furniture, "leatherette" these days. Because new vinyl gives off a strong chemical smell, both stores had strong scents to mask it. Within 10 minutes I had splitting headaches that went away when i left. Something to consider if you have vinyl or particle board furniture or use room deodorizers / scents. Open your windows and air the space.

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. I stopped wearing rings & watches many years ago. Only necklace I have ever worn in my life was my "dog tags" when in service.
Smells drive me up the wall. Perfumes & cigarette smoke are two of my worse. I start coughing & all when I get a whiff of either.
Also keep my wallet in my front pocket as it can cause my back & hip to hurt if I have it in my back pocket.
See I do understand!
Particle board makes me really sick. Do it yourself assembly furniture is something I can't have around anymore. Lately I've had issues with cooking smells - it is always something.
What I've learned to do is stop working against it. I let the weight stretch my shoulder, instead of tensing against it. That seems to work for me.
So many things off-gas - I can't stand to be in an area with new carpet, and new vinyl drives me crazy as well. I have the same response - a splitting headache.
Sometimes I don't even know those things are around until you get the headache and have to start searching for the cause.
I think we've all got some of that "canary" in us - seems we're always the first to react to things that don't even bother other people.
Thinking to use organic jojoba oil as skin moisturizers s to take makeup off, replace as many chemical, products as possible with natural ingredients.
Is this crazy? I mean, nature has some very potent poisons, all quite natural. things that i thought of as food... wheat and milk are natural and they don't agree with me. Almonds and mushrooms give me a stomach ache. But, the point is that the skin absorbs a lot of chemicals.
Think of air freshness, and candles...I'm don't use those, but perfumes are a personal favorite and in the last few years the perfume industry has substituted some natural products that are toxic or irritants for chemical ones, to the dismay of perfume aficionados like me who can smell the difference.
Too confusing. It's difficult to know what's best.
