Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

I hope the low-dose naltrexone works for you - I look forward to hearing more about it. It's something I haven't tried and I'm always interested in hearing how people do on it.
FYI my blood pressure has been easily controlled by a low dose of a virtually side-effect free med. I hope getting your pain under control takes yours back to normal, but it not, there are good meds to help.
Pain causes your blood pressure to rise.
Hope the med help you.
I have read about trigger point therapy maybe you can check it out.
Here is an article about it.
Does Chronic Pain Raise Hypertension Risks?
Click on the link below:

Here is some info about it:
White coat hypertension, more commonly known as white coat syndrome, is a phenomenon in which patients exhibit elevated blood pressure in a clinical setting but not in other settings.[1] It is believed that this is due to the anxiety some people experience during a clinic visit.[2]

Pain definitely can cause B/P to spike - as can the mere stress of going to the doctor. My B/P is sometimes up when I see the doctor even though it's fine at home. I had it taken in my dentist's office today (she's an old friend of many years) and it was totally normal although I'm sure seeing the dentist would spike some people's B/P.
Pain and anxiety both cause BP to go up, so my one doc will not even take mine till end of appt, when I am at least less anxious. So maybe you can ask your doc to do that, see if it makes a diff?
I do a breathing technique my PTSD therapist taught me. It lowers heart rate and, allegedly, BP. I have yet to get min etaken when not panicking....as Daisy pointed out, White Coat Syndrome!
The technique is breathe in as you count four (as fast ormslow as you like...you slow down as you go anyway)... hold as you count four....exhale as you count four....hold four...repeat. Maybe it will help?
Hugs,
Leo
