Animals!

So earlier today after I went grocery shopping, I was exhausted so I was lying down on the couch. As soon as I laid down 2 of my cats jumped on the couch and cuddled up with me-it actually felt great. Like a heating pad that vibrates, and loves you no matter how many times you yell at it because you don't feel good. Even though they're extra work to take care of, and it does hurt when they jump on me or knead sometimes, and they wake me up every morning to be fed, my cats are awesome-they pick up on when I'm in a bad mood better than my boyfriend does and they don't judge me for what I can't do/don't feel like doing. Just felt like sharing that thought, hope some of you other animal lovers can get the same joy from your pets too!

LOL, I'm the Cat Queen, I swear.... today ended up doing a little yard work. Had five cats "helping".

Only one was OURS!

I think they just know when people need to laugh or be comforted. Aniamls are usually a lot nicer than humans in my expdrience!

My cats give me lots of comfort too. I crave that unconditional love.

I'm sitting here watching TV on the bed with hubby and four dogs. Three are ours and we're sitting for the granddog.

Snuggles and unconditional love are powerful medicine!

My daughter's cat is great too, he presses against her legs without lying on top of her when she isn't feeling well. He is a heavy cat so his weight on her would hurt. Our scottie does the same thing, when she senses that my daughter isn't well. We are taking care of two rats this week - they are cute! One of them will also snuggle against her for a little, only when the higher members of the food chain are shut out of the room:-)

Speak of animals....
The neighbor's beagle is lurking again today. I think he knows it's a rough day here and wants to hang out. He's sitting in my yard like, "C'mon, it's nice out, come sit with me!"
Of course, my cat is also doing that....

What would we do without 'em? I nver wanna find out!

They're so perceptive. When I was younger and still living with my parents, I had a rough day and "my" dog (a 110 lb. shepherd) sat at my feet and gave me that "what's wrong" look. I knelt in front of him and hugged him, and no joke, he wrapped one of his paws around my back like a hug. I spent a lot of time training him to do a bunch of tricks/agility type stuff, but that wasn't something I had taught him...they just know.

Sometimes I think my Maggie is the only one who cares. When I'm having a really bad stay-in-bed kind of day, she won't leave me. She cuddles up next to me in bed, she follows me to the bathroom or anywhere else in the house.

They're wonderful!

My two cat babies keep me alive. otherwise, I might not get out of bed. Have to with them though, they won't let me stay there for long.

I can't have cats I'm allergic. I have to small boys and they are so messy that I have a hard time keeping up with them. But do love dogs and horses.

My kitty is a rescue cat. It's taken her a while to really be affectionate with me. She spent a long time being a companion - hanging around, moving rooms with me. But just the last couple of months she's started being more clingy and cuddly. She doesn't sit on my lap, but recently she's taken to sitting on the couch next to me and rolling over so she's half on my lap, half on the couch :)
Yesterday, being such a bad/sick/upset day for me, she was lying under the coffee table as I was bawling my eyes out on the couch. She reached out a paw and 'held' my foot while I bawled.
I think maybe she's warmed to me now :)

Zen - that is so sweet the way your cat is trying to step out of her comfort zone to comfort you. They really are special.

Animals are the best. I prefer them to people a lot of the time.
It's great your kitties bring you some comfort.

I have my dog who is my close companion. She is great to cuddle up with.
I have fish too that I love watching.
I would have more animals if I could. But they are work to look after and cost money.
I have the outside birds and critters I enjoy too.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
