Apparently the village of Cottage Grove in Wisconsin is considering an ordinance against housing sex offenders within the city or at least limiting housing for sex offenders.
This is all the more reason for a registrant to live outside the city limits if possible. It immunizes the registrant against all these city ordinances.

sad indeed when someone puts a value or cost of something before and over a human life.
He made his initial appearance in court today. He has a "high priced" attorney. He is being charged with the 2nd arson but not the first...yet....
The detectives in this case did an awesome job. They planted detectives at the public hearings after the first arson. The detectives watched and listened to the speakers at these hearings. They honed in on one individual who was very vocal.
In the meantime....after the first fire the deputies put several cameras at the premises knowing that the arsonist may visit the property again. This is when they had good photos of the arsonist at the second arson.
To make a long story short...i doubted the tenacity of law enforcement to catch this guy. I figured they would look the other way. Its like who cares because it involves a sex offender moving in the house. I was wrong. The LE did a great job to catch this a__whole.
A side twist....the federal government pays the house owner 2 thousand dollars a month to house sex offenders. This house owner owns several properties in Wisconsin just to house sex offenders.
My mind is reeling right now. Not sure what to think.
I live further away that 2 /12 hours but i'd love to go hold a public demonstration.
