I am really confused, I used to have a Facebook page, but Facebook, deleted my acct, because I am an SO. Whats very disturbing is, that Mike Tyson, a RSO, who actually raped someone, is allowed to have a FB page, hmmmm, sounds funny, but he does have 3 million followers, so I guess thats why. Hope some of you will complain and ask how THEY decide whos good enough or not good enough to have Facebook. Sounds like a lawsiut to me against FB

Jen, yes they really check this. They ask you when you sign up for Facebook to agree that you are not a SO. They didn't used to ask that, back when my husband joined. But now they do and there is no grandfathering. He got kicked even though he was only using his page for family and business. Personally I think it is disgusting that a company as large as FB acted this way. They help to set standards for other companies today and will for companies in the future. When will this end? My prediction, it will only get worse.

I am not sure what you want to accomplish by contacting Facebook IF you mention Mike Tyson's name. If you just want a clarification of their policy, that is one thing, but to call him out is another kettle of fish.

After all, if Mike Tyson is using Facebook illegally and is banned, what have you accomplished? It's not as if all of a sudden you will be able to create a Facebook account. By reporting Tyson, you still will not be able to use Facebook, but neither will Mike. Would it make you feel that much better if Tyson could not have a Facebook account?

I just don't think it is wise for us to call out other SOs by name, and we need to pick our battles. Facebook accounts should be the least of our worries---we have much bigger fish to fry.

Sometimes misery loves company.

As I said, it is fine to ask Facebook for a clarification on their sex offender policy, but frankly, I hope his name is not used in the complaint.

I had a FB page back in 2008 or so. I didn't read the TOS and they booted with me with the only explanantion being that I violated TOS. I was like fine! Screw FB! and I never got on again. Not sure what all the big deal is.

when i had a face book acct . my husband councelor name would pop up on who you may know .. on the right side of page . when people are checking your facebook ,,,you will know by the who you may know ..

i didn't get booted until i joined one of the SO support groups that was on facebook thats when i got booted
