Facebook itself has a policy that states that a SO can't have an account with them and to report to them if you know of one that has an account. So if a state says they can have an account, FB themselves can say NO. Unless they shouldn't be able to by law...Idk. Unless the state voted on social media in general and not just FB.

Also...and not encouraging anyone to do this....but isn't it easy to make up a fb profile? I understand anyone who is disallowed by law...why put yourself in jeopardy?

Instead of reporting him, we should be happy that he is moving on with his life, why someone would want to make more problems for a SO is beyond me, especially another SO.

i bet they paid the peple lotsa money , which we dont have to fight al this registry stuff laws restrictions etc. the govt and the rich people seem to me dont have to register nor worry about any restrictions. notice the popular people get the easy road off . has all their rghts etc. while the poor will suffer. i heard something about law sutis or something in free speech social media . they took away our loved ones rights:(

While it is true that Mike Tyson is a celebrity and he may or may not be breaking his state's laws by having a Facebook page, we must remember that he is also a fellow sex offender. If he can have a Facebook page, more power to him. If it is illegal for him to have one, that is between him and his state, the authorities---and has nothing to do with me.

If he has one illegally, then it is wrong, but I would not turn in---or snitch---on a fellow SO who is trying to get on with his life for any amount of money. I just don't do that.

If and when we start reporting each other for minor infractions----even just because we cannot do the same thing------it is akin to an army assassinating its own soldiers.

To report a fellow sex offender to the authorities---who hate us anyway---would be utter disgusting.

I certainly hope any person on this board thinks long and hard before they report his Facebook page. I am not saying anyone here would do that, but I would hope they would show some restraint.

Nobody likes snitches, even the authorities who people snitch to. I remember in prison we had all these snitches, and even the COs hated them.

I totally disagree with the earlier suggestion of reporting MT as an RSO to Facebook. I only found and posted proof of his being an RSO to prove the hypocrisy of FB. He has EVERY right to move on with his life just as we do. We have NO business throwing stones.

Wow, do they really check this? My bf just got out and is wanting a FB since the rest of the family has one and he can keep up with us all on his cell phone.

How can a company as large as facebook discriminate and get away with,it. I am NOT a FB kinda person, but when I am told I cant do something because of my SO status, And other SPECIAL SOs are allowed, I have a problem with that

thats what i'm talking about why does he get special treatment but we have to suffer don't get me wrong i enjoy facebook as much as the next person and i used it to keep in touch with family and friends i even went to alot of activities and parties that friends posted but sense i no longer have it i lost contact with friends from high school and family members who i haven't seen in a very longtime those are the things i miss i don't miss the graphic stuff they let people post on there i don't miss the way people judge someone i miss the good stuff
