I find comfort in this group knowing that you can still live your life and that people are never going to give up on fighting for their freedoms. I feel less alone and uplifted knowing that others can level with me and even offer advice or information I would otherwise not get elsewhere.
Its my son that got this ugly name on him and I can honestly tell you that we had an officer come into my office yesterday and I did not introduce myself to him and felt like I could not look him in the eye. He was nice but I totally see what you are saying. They told my son that he cannot be around any minors, even if its his family. What a stupid rule! Anyway, my son and I used to talk as we are very close and he said that he felt funny being around minors. This judge made my son go live in a horrible place in Baton Rouge (halfway house for SO's) and outside of his apartment, there were prostitutes, drugs and killings. My son's innocence has been taken from him and I can't even imagine what he will see while serving time. His father told the DA after the revocation hearing that they set him up to fail. DA's are scum! They are only about how many people they can put away and really try to make a person look like a rapist.
I also hate the fact that the older you get the more people will definitely think you are a pervert or predator! Something has to give!
Even in prison, I only spoke to my case manager maybe twice in an eight year period. I knew he could not do anything for me----nor would he----so I did not bother. I never ever spoke to a CO unless he asked me a question.
In prison, if I had a problem, I handled it myself or it did not get solved. Those people were not there to help inmates.

It's a mother's job to protect her kids and her family and I feel like I have to do so w/both hands tied behind my back.
Just the other day, my youngest son's girlfriend had to break up with him because my wretched in-laws (who just HAVE to instigate...they are the ones who coerced my step-daughter to lie in the first place) called the girl's parents and told them is dad is on the registry and then added even more to the original lies. GRRRRR!!!!!
My innocence is lost to this wretched system. I guess you can saw, I was once was blind but now I see - all the dirty tricks this system is. I even had a conversation with both my kids, that they should NEVER trust law enforcement or the justice system because they really don't care about guilt or innocence. We have seen what "justice" does and no longer trust it.
I always enjoy your posts Rew, always encouraging!

The irony is that my daughter's father, my ex, has become a police officer. Now, being non-Caucasian, he's known for quite a while that life is not fair, LOL. However, he believed that my husband did nothing wrong. He stood up for me to CPS and said that he had no concerns about our daughter's safety in my home nor about my parenting. He was not willing, though, to testify for my husband in court because he knew he'd lose his job for vouching for a SO's character...
As some may already know, my 17 year old son is being charged as an adult with sex crimes due to the 24 month age rule in our state. To top it off we live in one county and she lives in another so it crosses jurisdictions. My 14 year old son has watched all of this unfold. His whole life all he wanted to be was a cop (typical little boy). Now he refuses to entertain the idea because he doesn't want to be an "asshole". His own words...more like ahole. It breaks my heart that he is so bitter but it is not unwarranted.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts...very powerful stuff!
I never had this attitude with the law before my case, And you rew are fully aware of my case, just never stops.
So please people do not have a accident in front of me and need help because it might not come.
