I am so happy that you finally were able to get a decent visit with your hubby.
I hope all the ladies and the family members here are able to visit their loved ones in prison often.
Prison is hard enough on the wives, mothers, and girlfriends without making it even more difficult by restricting visiits.
rewdiazepam
This was my 3rd visit to Hub at this prison. But he was on lockdown for a month, so only allowed 1 hr non-contact visits. Because he is 4 hrs away, I can't visit every weekend like I would like to. When he was in reception, he was only 1.5 hrs away, so I was able to visit every week.
I am able to schedule my visit upto 2 wks in advance. When I get there, they assign you a table, and he has to face forward. We can only hold hands, but are more free to talk openly....it was wonderful!
Rew, hub is doing a lot better. Met some new guys who are Christians. Cellmate situation is also a lot better, don't have problems anymore :-)
Thank you as well Deena :-)
The other guys are giving him a lot of reading material, which is great, as they can only have 10 books total. I tell hub that when he's done with books, he is welcome to share them with other inmates. I feel its a donation to those incarcerated. As long as Hub gets to enjoy them too. The more he is interacting with others, the inmates that like to cause problems go to cellmate to ask about him, so he flies under radar.
Just keep praying good things and hopefully all will turn out for you and your husband.
It's the little things now, that makes our day. I love going to the mailbox and finding a letter from him. I love the weekends that I am going to visit, even though it's an all day event, it's well worth it. Already looking forward to our next visit.
When he came out, he told me when visiting ended and I was willing to stay that long. I told him "of course I'm staying as long as I can stay, I'll be there." That really made him tear up.
The hardest part for me is when I know time is almost up and then when I actually have to leave him. I normally do good at holding myself together till I am out of his sight. There are times like this last visit I lost it as I gave him a hug and kiss good bye and that made it hard on him. I too stay the entire time of each visit as it is our only contact (physically) with each other and I cherish each and every visit with him. Yes, I too love getting mail from him and the phone calls mean a lot too.
I am happy you enjoyed your visit too.
