That's terrible sadsong....at least in CA, they have a group called Friends Outside. They have trailers at every prison where they have clothes donated to them, for people to borrow if they aren't in compliance with dress code. For example, I was not thinking, and wore a blue sweater, which wasn't allowed. I went and borrowed another sweater from them so I could still go and visit him yesterday.

If that wasn't the case, I would carry a second set of clothes, just in case.

I tear up when he shows up for our visit and when we have to say goodbye. When I was leaving, he gave me a really big, strong hug (probably longer than allowed), but it felt so good to feel his arms around

CA sounds like it has a good program. It has been a struggle here. My husband has been in the system since 1998 and it is not much better. The great thing is now I have people like you to talk to which I did not know about before. Now I could of just asked someone on Families.

GOD is shining his light there , hes useing your husband to reach others and encourage helpmates:) in JESUS name GLORY . its sad when people go in prison alot so called christians dont even go visit them . as bible says we should do . visit those in prison the sick feed the poor and clothe the naked .. hmm .. thought GOD put it in my heart to try to be part of prison ministry up here where i live .. im checking imfo out in prisonministry .. please keep me in prayer that if its his will for me to get into this he will provide the ways .. hadnt heard from them as of yet . . . when my hub was in jail 4 half months , he was so about the father s business . shining GOD light in there.. people thought he could been a cold man .. cause his looks are deceiving , hes a big man but hes gentle as a dove humble and loves the LORD . people got along with him and he even gave away his food there , and stuff, the guys cried when he had to leave and told him theyd never forget him .: some had rededicated their lives .. and some got out and didnt get in no trouble still after all this time in 2009 .( made me cry hearing how the LORD used him in jail .it was joy and sadness .cause some had to leave usa and be deported to other countries and cried saying good bye . even met some their loved one families . and they even went to our church here at least couple times . but we dont hear from none now :( as time went by . they forgotten us .but we still pray for them .

Thank you Hurting. The Lord keeps putting people in his life and study books for him to read. He is new to the faith, but he has matured a lot in his faith, that he is further along in his walk than some who have been Chrisitans all their lives.

He feels called to ministry, but don't know in what fashion yet. I too am working with my church on their prison ministry. We are even going to do Angle Tree, providing gifts to children on behalf of parents that are incarcerated. As well as other ministries...
