The more I look around the more I hate the site... OMG... I don't even know where to start.... From most of the settings being removed to the way things post in one big blob... the way the name at the top is... the only thing I really like is I can read the posts right away as I go down the list instead of just the headline but that isn't so great to give up all the other things that USED to be here.

I am considering moving the whole forum.... maybe even paying for it so we have ALL the control... I am just so frustrated currently to even think straight about it... and as a hammer by nature, I NEED a nail at this point... LOL

This is a mess and that is to put it mildly.

Yes, the title does not need to be up there in 72 point font or whatever it is, but if it is, then the title needs to be changed.

Sometimes the passwords will not save and you have to keep changing the password by having them send you verification to your email.

The messages will not format correctly. Even if you use paragraphs and spacing, the messages so far for me have been posted as one gigantic wall of text, which is difficult to read.

The worst part is that a person can no longer look at the main page and see the entire first page of the subjects or topics. Instead, you can see the very first topic and that is even difficult since half the top of the screen is take up by Daily Strength stuff----the "friends" "support groups" and "journal" links, and of course, they have to be in print so large that a person can read it a block away.

I don't know the reason for the change from the old DS site, but if their goal was to kick a bunch of people who really need support to the curb and reduce the traffic to almost zero, they have certainly succeeded.

I have found a new home for us if we would like to move... nominal one time fee and a ton more features than we even had from the old site... https://www.proboards.com If we were to go this route, then I would post a WE HAVE MOVED at the top of the forum and the new URL, which we will customize to us. I'll pay to make this improve, cause this kind of thing is unacceptable.

I do not like it at all. The only thing I like is being able to correct my typos with the update feature, so I can make myself seem smarter than I am. :0)

wisconsin I will gladly pay a one time fee to move to your new board. THAT is what a message forum is supposed to look and function like. This new format is unusable. Links are not clickable, the text gives me (I'm know I'm not the only one) a headache, no ability to have separate paragraphs. I have a feeling DS will lose a lot of members over this format change. I don't think they care, but it is rather defeating. Many groups have a really good thing going. I feel Families of SO's has a really good thing going. I'd hate to lose all of this because DS can't listen to valid suggestions or complaints.

This site is very clanky right now iam hoping that it will get better.

Right now with the way I have it set up currently on the other site it is free. which has a slew of settings that are so much nicer than what we have available to us now. Shit, I'm still trying to find all of our news posts, which I assume are probably in the 10,000 posts that are on this forum. On the new forum there is a preview option so no more posts that people can't change. I am going to do some more setup today and I'll change the name at the top here too. Although of the 700+ people on our forum, I would like to see more input on this thread from folks about their feelings on moving the forum altogether. And to think that at one point in time I was not willing to move us all, but this new format is so cumbersome that I don't think I can make the same arguments anymore, such as how we are found in a google search.

Let us know because I am not warming up to the new site at all! lol I would suggest (if we move) leaving a message for those that are late comers to be able to find us ....
