She's ADDING charges, but she wants your "opinion" as if you are a friend????
Nice lady, this bitch!!!! And I would not be talking to her again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Refer her to your attorney.
She said she would "work" with the OTHER charges and was looking at somewhere between 3-5 years.
How can anything be 3-5 years if she added a charge with a minimum of 15 years???
She needs to be talking to your attorney, not you.
I agree that a psychological profile is a good idea, but let your attorney handle these things.
This woman is not your friend.

I guess it could be just me... the Asst. D.A. in my hubby's case was only concerned with one thing: her career. Not the truth, and not really even the accuser. I'd hate to be a real victim and have her prosecuting the case, cos it's plain as day, the victims are only a means to an end for her.
But yeah... I still say, don't trust the D.A.
Notice that she did not ask questions that could be answered with a simple "yes" or "no" but asked you "what you thought"----as if it really mattered what you thought.
She asked a question that required a narrative----a longer response that would cause you to interject your thoughts. She wanted to get you talking in hopes you would say something to help her case.
She is asking what you "thought about the case" yet she is sticking another charge with a possible life sentence????? What does that tell you?
She is on a fishing expedition to get you talking about the case so she can hang your guy. Keep your lips sealed. Let your attorney do the talking.
This woman is nothing but trouble. Avoid her at all costs.

Get an attorney to protect both of you. They will lie and force both of you to do things that you don't have to do. You need an attorney that will push back with your rights. Believe me, from one mother to another, you need an attorney to fight for what your daughter wants without getting charges against you, or CPS at your door.
I don't mean to come off harshly, but this is something that is preached regularly on this forum. DAs are no exception, they are more deadly than the police.
That bitch was definitely on a fishing expedition and it sounds like she also got what she was looking for, YOUR cooperation. Just because the District attorney is prosecuting the case does not mean you have to cooperate with that office. Even if a victim recants, says outright they lied, the prosecution will keep at it if they believe they have a good enough case to put a notch on their belt.
I will say this again even though I thought it was said enough just a week or so ago, NEVER EVER TALK TO THE POLICE, THE DA, THEIR INVESTIGATORS...... NOT A SOUL BUT YOUR ATTORNEY, NOT EVEN YOUR FRIENDS IF YOU CAN HELP IT.
The same rules for the police apply to the prosecutor as well but even more so since they decide your fate to a bigger degree than even the cops! Don't ever talk to a DA without an attorney, EVER!
