there is good and bad ya know?
1) EDs aren't about just eating or not eating. If THAT were the case, well then, I would be cured. So even if someone were to follow this plan in order to up their calories, they still haven't addressed the real issues, and will most likely go right back to their behaviours when they get stressed out.
2) This is stuff that you got off the internet. It could be dangerous for someone to follow even a very low calorie plan like this if they have been severely restricted. It's why I ALWAYS recommend seeing a dietitian when it comes to working on a meal plan, along with a therapist to deal with the emotional issues to boot.
3) Finally, it's just plain triggering. Hands down.
It is very obvious what this post was about from the title. If you think its triggering then don't read it!
And don't use some bull shit excuse that ED made you read it. Take soe fricken responsibility for what you are doing and reading. The longer we all make excuses, the longer we suffer from ED. Shelly had a great point, if you think someone posts a lot of posts that trigger you, than ignore them.
That being said I can see what Missy is saying. From her point of view, 1000 calories is a fantastic start. For me no, its not. But I am giong to take responsibility for myself and my illness and say no, this is not healthy.
Each to their own, respect for the right to have an opinion, peace.
anyway, I dont want to get into some big fight. Of COURSE recovery is about more than calories and eating. BUT recovery is about goals... and 1 goal is allowing yourself to up your calories...
why not be positive and helpful instead of negative and critical....
thank u juice...rock on babes!
