I feel fear when dieting, for two reasons. First, I fear that my desire for food is stronger than my willpower. I am holding myself back from eating, but fear my control will not be strong enough and I will fail.
The second fear I feel when dieting is fear of hunger itself. When hungry, I feel extremely anxious.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I can totally enter into that. I'm having a struggle losing weight because of the same reasons. My diet goes well for a day or two and then I can't seem to handle the hunger anymore. I would also suggest saying no to at least one thing a day. Example: you normally eat two donuts at breakfast...eat one and then tell yourself no to the other one. or only buy one this time.
Small changes help lead you to BIG CHANGE!!
Your fear of being hungry is a fear for alot of people when dieting which is why I eat 6-7 times per day small meals. I am never hungry and it has completely changed my metabolism and helped with weight loss not to mention the fat that i have burned and the inches that have come off my waist.
Another tip is that if you always have something of good nutritional value around when you get hungry and start to snack it wont be such a bad thing because of the good selections
