Today I fasted until 4 p.m., when I ate a can of black beans (350 calories). I am thinking of rewarding myself for fasting by going to Burger King for two Whopper Juniors (740 calories). That means I will have taken in 1,090 calories for the day. The thing I like about the BK Whopper Juniors is the lettuce, tomato, and onion, which is really quite tasty (however, I won't go near their chicken sandwich, which is heavily processed congealed yucky stuff with too much sodium).
According to LiveStrong.com, if you are approximately 5 feet 6 inches in height, you need about 1,950 to 2,150 calories per day to maintain a weight of 138 lbs. Your calorie needs will be higher if you are very active. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall, so I'm pretty close to the given height.
What did you eat today, and what is the calorie count if you know it?

I love to graze all day.
Please don't mention burger king, or I will be in my car going for a whopper....lol.....
My cal intake is based on activity level.
Of course if I set on my butt all dy. bTo maintain weight, I would only need very little cal's. Adjust cal water intake, accordenly
I don't believe that cookie cutter works. nope 1 size doesn't fit all...
Example a 5'5 woman who somwhat active will not require same nor more cals than very active 5'5 woman. as liken to your cchart, 1 size doesn't fit all that in same height age... chart, lol

Thats good for me on a friday! Lol I dont fast ever id just eat awful after that and bk I cant tolerate. Cant tolerate much fast food.
I found out that grease n fatback( lard) is absoluely best laxitive. It kept me in bth rm for 3 dys. Good new is that I can't.wont ever have grease/lard again. I don't want to slowly clog my arterys, n cause fat on n around my orgins.
I like my home maded pizza, salads wheat breads...
My fast food places are deli sub-way produce area in grocery store, n my fav is organic store. I also like medium size zip lock top plasitc bags of veg n/r fruit that I put together. I take bag w me when I go out n about.
Grant if great granny didn't cause seasonned n breaded chicken smell so good, we wouldn't like the smell/eat grease. My Granny's use to make lye soap from animal fat/grease. oh yummy :0 yakk
They taught me how to make lye soap. enjoy grease burgery/food n remember the grease is used to make lye soup.
This morniing on, Fri 3/16/13, so far I had 20 oz of ice water plum 1 cup of original fiber one cereal - dry, n 20 oz of protein drink Total 500 cals. today starts a 24 hr fast. nothing until tomarrow morning. ending at same time tomarrow that I started the fast today.
So, today, I'm eating a bag of nacho tortilla chips (1170 calories) and two Whopper Juniors (740 calories), for a total of 1910 calories. I may or may not lose weight today, but at least I won't gain any pounds today.
Also - the difference between the amount of sodium in two Whopper Juniors versus a chicken sandwich appears to be negligible, a couple of hundred mgs or so. And if you think the beef is less heavily processed than the chicken, think again. All of the food at fast food places is heavily processed. I think there are more healthy ways of enjoying lettuce, tomato, and onion than in fast food items.
I don't agree that healthy food is always more expensive than unhealthy food. It does take effort to figure out how to eat healthy foods on a budget. My opinion is that items like beans, rice, whole wheat pasta, canned tomatoes, fresh tomatoes in season, fresh produce in season, frozen vegetables and fruit any time of year, and whole chickens are among the most economical and nutritious items that people can use to build healthy, nutritious meals that don't bust the budget. It does take effort, though.

Throughout the day I graze, n I have gal of ice water

Good Day/night
Wednesday. A can of low sodium peas (280 calories) and two roast beef and herb cheese sandwiches (940 calories combined) for a total calorie intake of 1120. I drank plenty of water today.
I almost blew my diet today because I bought 3 roast beef and herb sandwiches, but I managed to eat just two of them and give the third away to a homeless person. That was a close call!
