How often do you guys think I should weigh myself? I tend to get very discouraged when I weight myself daily and see I sometimes gain 4lbs in one day when I have a really bad day.

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. I like daily but only record on Sunday. I tried to go weekly but it stressed me to not know. So if it stresses you to do it weekly switch to weekly and see if it relaxes you about it.
Myself, I get antsy to see if I'm losing, so sometimes am hopping on the scale all the time! That is not good. If I've gained, the frustration can cause me to say what's the use? If I've lost, I may think I can cut myself a little slack. So I'm going to try to NOT jump on the scale daily. We all have daily fluctuations in our weight. They can mislead us.
So what did you decide?
I suppose it depends what your fitness goal is. Are you trying to just lose weight, lose fat or build muscle? Weight and BMI doesn't always tell you much. For example, a 140lb person who has mostly fat is going to look quite different from a 140lb person who is solid muscle.
