What do you do to keep yourself motivated?
Lately, I see cute clothes and almost immediately put the idea out of my mind because I have been struggling with this 10 pounds for so long that I feel like it will never go away.
I have a new meal plan. I'm going shopping tomorrow. I really want to stick with it and get back to my sexy self before my anniversary! I really feel like it is a mental thing for me. My weight fluctuates in the same ranges because I get disgusted with myself before it gets too bad, but I get comfortable before I reach my goal.
What do you guys do to keep yourselves on track? Pictures on the fridge? A cute outfit that's a size too small? What helps you get the picture on your mind?

The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

For example, I have had a bad habit of telling myself I'm either "on the diet" or "off the diet" and, when I'm off the diet, I kind of pretend the calories/food doesn't count. So, I wrote down a response to that thought. I have read it several times and can recite it to myself now when I'm tempted to allow myself to freely eat - when I try to fool myself into thinking I'm somehow in this safe zone of momentarily"off the diet." My response is that all calories count. Everything I put in my body becomes a part of my body. There are no arbritrary lines of on or off the diet. I have to learn to manage unusual circumstances and slight mess-ups as a part of my eating.
I think it helps.
Think of watching yourself from a distance. Do you like what you see in you? That's what I'm trying lately. :)
I have the motivation. I have the goal. I just need the willpower. Addiction is a tough thing to deal with!
