Hello, folks. I did the 5:2 Diet the month of January and managed to lose 5 lbs. For a senior woman with thyroid issues, losing 5 lbs. in a month wasn't bad.
In Feb. and March, I lost only 2 lbs. each month using ordinary dieting. Then I lost my willpower and gained.
Therefore, I intend to go back on the 5:2 Diet, starting tomorrow. It entails eating only 600 calories on two days of the week. The two days don't need to be consecutive. On the other 5 days, just eat moderately and sensibly.
Anybody want to do it with me? Is there a buddy out there? Don't all holler at once! LOL

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Let me know how your stepmom does.
Good luck with the 5:2 - sounds like it works wonders! :)
I am trying it for the first time today and I have already cheated. :D
But, not too badly. I had a salad and greek yogurt for lunch, but I wasn't really planning to have lunch.
I thought that I might ease into it by just doing
only veg / fruit / homejuiced veg juice on the starvation day.
I need to jumpstart my metabolism. I have been quite immobile due to a broken ankle last year, followed by a lot of work stress which hasn't been kind to my mid section.
So, how are you getting along with the 5:2?
If you want to be my buddy on this, that's great! Let's get cracking! Get on my Friends list so we can read each other's journals.
It helps if a diet buddy can read my journal, and vice versa.
Thanks. Am eagerly waiting.
How is everyone doing on this plan? Hoping its good.
I had done research on the net and also on amazon and hearing great reviews on it. I do not own the book, and I had started this on Thursday and my 2 days at 500 calories begins Tue/Wed. I weigh in May 6.
Looking forward on hearing some success stories...WE CAN DO THIS!!
