Lots of water is filing. I've also heard that water with lemon in it helps to suppress appetite. Apples are great for a boost of energy and a filling snack when eating whole, with the peel still on.
One of my favorites... pickles! Ha ha! I know it sounds funny, but read the label! I buy the Vlasic crunchy pickles that you get in the refrigerated section. They are 5 calories for a spear (can also get in halves and whole) and the entire container is usually around 50-70 calories. So, even when I go crazy and eat half the jar, the calories don't kill me.
The other issue with this drug is that technically, it isn't supposed to be used for more than 6 weeks (the FDA does not approve it for long term) and more often than not it is prescribed long past that.
.... Long term use of phentermine can result in permanent mood changes, heart palps, ticks (similar to tourettes, but not so dramatic), and as mentioned - addiction. Once going off, you will gain a considerable percentage of the weight back as you are essentially starving yourself (hence the weight loss). Once the drug is no longer there to block messages to the brain - most people will state that they suffer insomnia, insatiable appetite resulting in them eating anything and everything they can... its really sad.
I would recommend an alternative source, but to each his own.
