So besides keeping track of my exercise with my fitbit tracker on their website, I also write it down in a journal. But because I get extremely horrible migraines, I also write down the days I don't exercise (my exercise consists of going on the treadmill) and I've also write down the days I have missed because I've been sick from this virus I've had for an entire week.
I need Ideas of what I CAN do besides the treadmill for when I really feel awful with a headache or when Im sick. Obviously nothing strenuous, but maybe some small.
Do you think doing arms would be good, or would that be too strenuous? Stretches are hard because my whole back is fused. What are some things I could do to keep any part of me moving, even if it's easy. I'm just coming up blank.
any suggestions would be so GREATLY appreciated.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

I know that different people have different things that they can and can not do when they have migraines. I'm guessing that the loud noises in the gym make it hard to go there to exercise. Other people report that bright lights are very hard to endure with a migraine. So knowing some of these answers might help us.
But given all that, ...
Walking is always good, even if it is around your house. If you can get out, walking up and down stairways can be excellent.
House cleaning can be good exercise, and you can adjust it from hard (scrubbing floors???) to rather easy (picking up clutter?).
I've heard that canned goods can make good "make do" dumbells! IF watching TV is about all you can manage, then having a couple of cans of soup can help get some arm exercises in. If that is too light you can work up to half gallon jugs of milk!
I have seen it recommended for the elderly or physically handicapped who have mobility issues. No, I don't have a link. You will have to search internet via Google .... Chair yoga
best to you
Set on sofa n peddle while watching tv. r set it on a table and work out arms.

Botox is the new treatment out for migraines.
I do not know the name of med that neighbou takes when needed.
As she gets the injection her head pain decreases. Maybe your Dr is up to date in her practice.Dr should know name medication.
I will take all the botox in my forhead that Dr will spare. I plan on getting a face lift so botox will become my best friend.
Im uncertain if the 2 botox is the same medication, dunno.
Do you use hand weights at all. PepperMan made a great suggestion and from what I've read, when we stimulate our muscles in that way, they keep up the metabolism for us.
Sorry about the back problems. I hope you find the thing that works for you!
Even a short, light workout is better than nothing. Hang in there!!

Personally I'm not good in pools but I do like laying back in the tub with my ears under the water to block the noise. If you like to swim make some back crawl would be good exercise for you.
I don't know what to say to guest who always bring rot gut cheap wine.. we all have a sip as to not offend her.

I suggest that your keep at least 2 note books.
1 for food intake and time of intake
2 your illness date time and what you were doing n/rr where you are when ____ triggers migranes.
3rd book could be types of food drink with cal.'s of ea food.
4th could even be time of day and dys that you exercise.
Just a thought.
