Hi. I've been searching everywhere for a site like this and I hope I've finally found it. I need help losing weight and I feel my family don't understand. My sisters, brother and mother have no problem staying a good weight no matter what they eat. I'm around 252 pounds and tomorrow I have a hospital appointment. I know they'll weigh me there and I'm so scared. They tell me I need to lose weight and then I go home and I just think of that number I've seen over and over and it actually drives me to such sadness and I end up crying for days afterward. Right now as I type I'm so scared about my upcoming appointment. I just need someone who understands. No someone who keeps telling me 'Well if you just do this...' 'If you stop doing this..' when they can do what they want and I sit there wondering why I got the short end of the stick. Thanks for reading.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

You want support and you can find that here. People want you to succeed. I sure do. I still , after ten years of maintaining a 105lb loss have problems. I will never give up fighting to stay healthy as possible and that makes me happy. If I give in and just say I cannot do this, I will feel depressed as heck. So I have some illness that comes with old age and stops me from exercising like I used to. I went on a pity party for awhile eating the wrong foods. NOW I AM BACK. I beg you to join me and do something for yourself. You do not need food to feel good. That lasts a few seconds and is not worth it. You have your whole life ahead of you and you may be like me and battle overweight for many years, but if this is all we have to carry, we are lucky compared to others with horrible illnesses. I am 72 now and I will NEVER GIVE UP. Bless you. You can do this. Just start with one small step. Perhaps if you drink soda , give that up. Continue from there. Big Hug.
