Hello...
I'm new. My name is PinkGnomie13. I'm 24. I'm a telemarketer for a car dealership, so I sit for 12 hours a day at work. My hobbies are reading, writing, making jewelry, and watching TV while I do artsy stuff (so also sitting.) I am hypoglycemic and have insulin resistance.
My first serious boyfriend dumped me last week. It was a tough messy breakup, but it happened. Then I started experiencing fainting spells, lightheadedness, etc., accompanied by chest pains, a clenching on the left side, and shooting pain down my left arm. I would then pass out.
Turns out that chest pains are typical for a breakup (which I knew), and it's not uncommon for women to drop dead of heart attacks after a particularly tough one (which I did not know). Given a long, painful history of rejection, my body physically cannot handle the stress of another rejection. I need both time to recover and to lose weight to handle life better. 50 pounds was suggested as a good goal before dating again.
I know, people will say that the right person will love you regardless of what you look like, but I have to do this. I'm scared I will actually die the next time I am rejected. I can't do that. So, I'm here to lose weight, get fit, and start over as a new human being.
I want to drink half a gallon of water a day and start running for at least a half an hour a day. I'd like to train enough to do a 5K with my dad this summer. Of course, 50 pounds by June is a bit unrealistic, but just in good enough shape I can run with my dad. I'd like to be dating by the end of the summer again.
So, hello everyone!!! This is me and my story!!!

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...
