I just changed mine last week to a lilac. The plan was to see a load of 'em this last weekend, but it didn't happen. That fest was my Gram's most favorite thing to go see. Been thinking of her a lot lately. Oh yeah, and it is Spring after all. I was thinking too, after carolina320 passed, I had this burned down candle up ... well, I get the feeling she has blossomed into something new now, and it's also related to that/her, in that respect.

I'll probably be going back to Henry Spencer's black and white soon ... or the Jack Nicholson with his moobs and sub that makes 4 so sick ....... haha ......

Oh, yeah, about yours ...... I guessed something like that, but not with such a Personal force. My God ....... When you see this stuff in history books, or news, and things .... there is a kind of distance from real people. Your grandparents lived this? It just boggles the brain what humans do to each other ........ totally insane.

Aye, they lived through it. Both of them we're born and lived within walking distance of the Naval Base, although only young kids at the time. Neither were evacuated, so they stayed and bore the brunt, as it were. My nan is always telling me stories of Mud-larking to bring in some money, unloading and loading ships, that sort of thing.

The nature reserve across from my house is made of reclaimed land, they used the rubble from bomb damaged buildings.

*shaking head* ............ wow .......... We had a civil war here, which I know little about, and some crazy people high jacked planes to fly into a couple of buildings. But I really have no idea what that (war) must be like. And to Survive it ..... ??? And so here You are ... I'm wondering how the history/experience has shaped Your thinking and life?

My flying dove reminds me of my son, who was killed on 2005. He is free now from all the sadness he had here and the battles he fought from inside.
