Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

It has been 1 week since I decided I couldn't do it on my own, and I asked for an anti-depressant. In many ways it has felt like a bit of a roller coaster. I have felt everything from a security blanket, to anger, fear, more bouts of sadness, and a small bit of normalcy.
I have admitted to a few people that I've made this decision, and I am surprised how they all brushed it off as no big deal. Maybe it is no big deal, but no one has seemed to have much concern for what I'm feeling. Worse yet, I just really haven't had anyone to talk to about it, to let me cry, to hold me while I cry.
The one's that care are too far away. The one's that are near don't really give much of a damn. Funny how it works out that way...
I've cried too many times alone....tonight is no exception. I wish for so many things to be different.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. The people who do live here are "friends" that don't seem to understand, or don't care enough to be there. Going through thyroid disease and having depression really shines a light on the people who say they are a close friend, and yet can't reach out to just talk to me. It's a sad thing to learn.
I live on my own, so, no....there is generally no one right here.
I know that I will be ok, but there are just some days when tears come and you wish someone was there.
I don't have anyone who cares at all so I know how it feels
to be alone. I've never had anyone hold me when I cried.
Big Hugs
