First I should apologize for not being there much for others lately since Josh has been battling cancer. Between his cancer and my depression it's hard to think about much else.

Josh was supposed to go home last weekend but his metatrexate levels were too high. And now he has bad mouth sores, a fever, and musucitis. He's back to not being able to eat or talk due to his sores.

One of the med students has been playing video games with Josh when he has time. Josh also made a friend while he was here although she went home after being here only a week. We have been texting her and keeping up with her progress. She is going to be tested for kidney failure.

All of these problems these kids are facing are side effects from the chemo. Chemo kills everything----the bad cells and the good cells both. And when the cancer cells come apart they are toxic which puts strain on the kidneys.
