Let me start by saying for several years I have gone without dating and had zero desire to date. The closest I even came was a few coffee get togetherness with someone I liked way more than they liked me. That was over 2years ago. Well he starts flirting again. We meet up and he puts a move by asking me to give him a mesage. On his neck. Well I turn that down and he shows no more interest. But I keep trying to talk to him cause I keep wishing it was more, imagining how great it would be if we got together. I always start conversation with him, he replies but never starts any with me now. What I need support for is letting go of this. I need to stop hoping for something that is obviously not going to happen. Thanks. So what I'm going to do when I feel the urge to engage something with him, I'm going to come here and note how long it's been since I last attempted to start something with him. So far it's been 5hours.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I say something is better than nothing and it's OK to enjoy a calm, serene, comfortable friendship with someone, maybe even a little physical affection too. Human flesh feels gooood, like a comfortable tuxedo.
Flirting needs to be done in steps, each going a bit further than the other, so that messages go back and forth and you both ease into a new aspect of your relationship at the same time.
It could also be he feels rejected. I say ask what his deal is, then you know and it might be easier for you to let go if you need to.
I asked how he was doing yesterday on his facebook page, and he sends me a text message saying he is good, and that he appreciates my asking, but does not want me to put anything on his facebook page, and he is freinding alot of women who are older and wealthy on facebook, everyday, I think he is a womanizer, jigaloo or some kind of creep. regardless I'm now glad he isn't interested in me, what I don't understand is why he got in touch wih me in the first place, I don't have any money, yet.
Or something else entirely!
But what ever, it sounds like you really dodged a bullet! File him under 'people can be strange'.
I have a handsome family member who is constantly approached by various women. But he is not interested in settling down and there are a number of nice guys who may not have the best clothes but can be good people. Try to look around, go to activities, perhaps online, and look for the tarnished diamond in the rough.
