Yesterday could of been a bad day for me as it was the first anniversary of the death of my friend , fishing buddy and coworker to colon cancer. I miss Mickey something fierce. :'( But knowing he would not want me moping around I set out to turn my day around. I began calling others that worked with and knew him. And tonight we are getting together at a favorite meeting place aka a Sports Bar and honoring Mickey in a way he would have liked very much. So I will have a drink to my late friend and hopefully he is still smiling down on me telling me the only acceptable outboard motors on the fishing boats in heaven are Evinrudes. Here's to you Mickey !!! : )

Hey sweetie.. gosh I can't believe it's been a year .. I think it's awesome y'all are gonna get together and honor Mickey and raise a glass to your wonderful friend. I know how much you loved him and I know he's upstairs catchin' the big ones!

It's wonderful you guys all got together to honor your friend Mickey!! I hope you had a great reunion! I'm sure he was up in heaven raising his glass with all of you- glass in one hand and fishing pole in the other. Sounds like he was a great catch as a friend....

We had a good time and he would have approved. A few of us stayed for a comedy show which was better than I expected. So all in all it was a really good time. If Mickey was there in person he would have had a really good time. And I am sure that in some way he was there in spirit. Of course he is in heaven so I just imagine he is there being happy and well. One day hopefully down the road a ways I will be there with him. And we can then take off where we left off. Which would mean I would be out fished at least three of his to one of mine. But it never mattered because we had a great time out there catching those fish. Till then I have some happy memories of our times together that will carry me through. : )

That's what's helped me the most---remembering my lost ones in ways that they would think were very cool. The good times, only the good times.

Remember, he loved YOU for reasons he couldn't quite explain, either, I'm sure, too.

We should all be so lucky to have as good friends as Mickey did.

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
