If you decide to work for an agency for a time you may get really regular work and it may be a way to get your foot in the door of what you hope for

Driving your car would mean you need commercial insurance and also a chauffeurs license.
If you do drive for medical transport take extra effort to try using their vehicles then they provide the insurance but that chauffeurs license is needed if you take passengers. If it is just driving around blood products or deliveries of thjngs still try using their vehicles. That stuff I do not thknk you need chauffeurs license to do.
Remember you pay insurance gas maintenance if its your car! They pay that if its their cars.

I am going to be transporting people with various disabilities in the company vehicles. It just pays minimum wages.

I drove a shuttle for tour company two or three years where hours were crazy. Money was better including tips. They rode me ragged.

The job I am starting this week, I do not believe anyone tips. Many may be wheel chairs that I have to load into vehicle that is wheel chair equipped. In summer thats hot part to job.

I went to voc rehab in my undergrad and they paid a sum for my college degree it was not much.
I never used them in job searching. Go for it because it cannot hurt to get these people in your corner. It does also signify to employer you have disability.

Do not drive your own car transporting medical people. If you like to drive, then consider this job if you drive their vans, etc.

I do think you should give this attorney person a 6 month try. I know you need a real job with good money now. I also feel like with his help you will be more successful. Especially if you don't understand the ATS and what key words are. I taught myself some of this by google searching those terms.

I do want to remind you that you have gotten interviews which is spectacular. These companies get hundreds of online applications that mostly go into the deny pile by the ATS. The fact that you got one of the few interviews is terrific. I know they didn't hire you and that naturally is disappointing and sad.

Stick with this guy if the unemployment commission sent him and pays for his services.

I went to a specialist appointment one hour late today. Long drive, bad parking, and then I got turned away for being one hour late. SHEESH on me, totally my fault. They gave me an appointment tomorrow late in the morning so I do the horrible drive and finding parking again tomorrow. Not happy with myself today.

I say that you should let the lawyer help you too. Why not? I've told you about my sister-in-law who was out of work for an extended period of time. She works in banking. She now has a job, thank God! She used recruiters and other contacts. She is almost 60 so I think there was some age discrimination going on. You are a fighter so keep fighting!

When I got out of school, or soon there after, someone came to my house representing OVR (Office for vocational rehabilitation) OVR funded a driver's test for me at a rehab facility, they even funded a evaluation at trade school, for disabled people, such as myself.

It may be possible for the lawyer to work with a non-profit such as OVR, to better serve You if need be.
