Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Yesterday, my son was driving along just minding his own business. When he came to a stop sign, a police cruiser cut him off and stopped, blocking the front of his car. The officers jumped out, weapons drawn and pointed at my son, screaming, "Get your hands up! Get your hands up NOW!"
My son is trying to figure out what the heck he did to warrant being held at gunpoint while a massive flock of cruisers surrounded him. Now he has more like 20 guns trained on him and lots of officers shouting at him.
Turns out police were in the process of responding to a "robbery in progress" call in the neighborhood and my son was the only person driving out of the area when the first cop arrived... so they figured he was the robber!
Thank goodness nobody got hurt and the cops apologized to my son numerous times. Don't know if the actual robber was caught or not. What a day!
HUGS
I have little to no respect for them.
They did nothing when my husband was beating me, violating a protective order.
Man...I won't commit any violence against them...but they get no respect from me.
F*** the police...here anyway.

It's stupid but there it is. I believe it's called following suit.
Don't know what I'm talking about?

my mate was crashing at my place when i lived back at home.
we`d been out to Scandals (a club with a painfully low ceiling) and got back to mine about 2am. We pulled up outside mine and another car pulled up behind me. as we`re going up the path, this dude appears and stops us for questioning because "it`s near christmas, there are always more burglaries and you`re driving a van"....
the van in question was my 1972 VW Camper Van. Of all the things that van was (cold, expensive, helpfully spacious, etc), the last things it could be accused of is being subtle or quiet... it was bright yellow with an air-cooled engine!!
i told the guy i lived there and pointed out that the van was hardly a sensible choice of getaway vehicle as it does 0-60 in about 3 weeks.
At this point my dad appeared in the window and the copper says "well, it looks like someones in so i`ll let them deal with it" (which to me said "i realise i`m being a jobsworth and i`d like to back out now and re-evaluate my life please")
Cops are fighting for our protection. What if there was someone walking in your neighborhood looking for a place to rob. If he picked your house then the cops would be lazy good for nothings living off our tax dollars for not catching him/her before they robbed your house.
Police have a difficult job. They never know if you are going to shoot them or not. I for one am glad they are out there.
