I am still depressed. I don't know what else to do about it. I see a counselor on a regular basis plus I take meds. My psych just started me on a new anti-depressant so I am waiting for that to kick in. I really hope this one works and I don't get any nasty side effects. I get really depressed all the time. I am trying to exercise more often to work off my anxiety. I get really bad anxiety too. Plus I have schizo-affective disorder which is just a type of schizophrenia. I do take meds for that though.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? I am sorry that you are going through this.
I have no idea what your life is like as far as work/leisure activities but the only thing I can tell you is that you have to switch up your routine somehow.
I was depressed/angry for a long time and then one day I realized that if my life never has any change then neither will my problems. It took me a long time but I finally decided that I have to find a hobby just to somehow change my life.
For me I went into a martial arts dojo which is the only thing I can think of that would interest me. Taking the first step is so hard but it must be done. I went back and forth for a long time then finally I forced myself to walking through the door. Immediately I felt like my life had changed, even if it doesn't work out, I am still proud of myself for having the courage to take the first step.
I'm sure you have your own interests. You have to make some kind of routine change or else your life won't change.
Be strong and have the courage to take the steps.
Good Luck.

Before I got back to work I first did volunteer work in a hospice office and an animal shelter. I agree with the other comments about alternative medicine and getting a hobby.
I use tapping for my anxiety attacks. Works better than anxiety medicine for me. Check out tapping.com. it may help.
