I have never had those kinds of symptoms. Is it new? Maybe it's the withdrawal from the Klonapin. No suggestions. Sorry to hear it's such a rough time for you.

You need to talk to your doctor about all of this.

I have recently been diagnosed with "atypical depression" which basically means I am unresponsive to antidepressants. Before you consider ECT, please look into TMS treatment. Go real slow off your Klonopin, how much are you reducing exactly?

definitely looked into tms we have it here in new york a place called the dent tower neuro institute my shrink is there he said tms isbullshit i was like dude i seen it on doc oz show and you was on our local tv show selling the product he basicly said thats basicly for people who have mild depression and most insurance companys dont cover it if you have medicare you good so thats when i asked him about ect thats when he said most insuranc covers it because its proven to be more effective then meds but the side effect is you might have some memory loss maybe some people do some people dont and the memorry loss ranges from a week to a month ago the iit comes back at this point if i cant remeber what happen a month ago i dont give a shit it was horrible anyway lol but here is the link when he was on our local tv show http://www.wkbw.com/am-buffalo/neurostar-tms-therapy yup thats my shrink

So your doc will go on TV and try to sell it but won't recommend it for you? I have never heard that TMS is only for mild depression, I told the TMS doctor my depression was a 9 out of ten and he really thought it would help me. Do you know for sure that your insurance doesn't cover it? You can call and find out yourself. Makes me wonder if he makes more money off you if you get ECT? You can always go see someone else and get a second opinion. Of course, if you decide to get ECT that is totally your decision and I respect that. Best wishes to you, my friend. I watched the video, amazing your doctor seems so gung ho about TMS on the video and then discourages you to try it in private. How could it be bullshit when there is documented proof of the success that TMS has had?? If I were you I would continue to push your doctor on TMS and if he resists, find a new doctor. My doctor Dr. Tarique Perera is the president of the TMS association and he is very bullish on TMS. He has me trying it for anxiety.

yes i believe some of these smptoms are from withdrawl i been holding steady at 0.5mg one time a day till these symmptoms ease up then i will make another small cut when my body tells me im ready i started weaning off too fast at the beginning was on it 3 times a day thats wheb i was getting hit with all types of crazy symptoms but i made it too one time a day thank god so at this point im going extra slooooow yeah im going too get a second opinion about that tms i will call the insurance company too find out if its coverd but yeah thats what he told me he was like thats more for mild deprresion and people that have strokes smh

Go slow with your Klonopin withdrawal. My former psychiatrist told me a tenth of a pill a week! How do you even do that? Very carefully with a teeny tiny knife I guess, lol! Ridiculous! They are the ones who put us on these drugs and then tell us no you can't take this anymore and then make us go through withdrawal? Why did they prescribe it to us in the first place? It's neglectful patient care, in my opinion.
Yes, get a second opinion about the TMS, do your research and find someone who you think will be an advocate for TMS and for you. Definitely call your insurance, they may say no at first, but there is also an appeals process you can do. I will be happy to give you that information. Your doctor needs to read up on new medical literature. He sounds like he is uneducated about it. It is your responsibility to educate yourself about it and find a doctor who is educated about it. I had to talk my psychiatrist into TMS, he wanted to give me ECT too. I refuse to do it until it is a last resort. Be strong, my friend.
