Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I just got home from vacation, which was nice. I had been distancing myself from a group of people because it just seemed to be a real mess. My mom has been in a facility recovering from breaking her hip. I thought that my 'friend' was calling to see how my mom was doing because that was the message that she left on my phone-she left a message asking about my mom. I called her back when I got in from out of town. Instead, she started to bait me into an argument on why I cancelled my party three months ago.
If anyone remembers me saying here before, it was because I had fallen and broken my leg. If this is a good enough reason to cancel something, I don't know what is. In the middle of this conversation, she starts just going OFF. About how I didn't want her there and all of this. I could NOT BELEIVE I had to explain this again. I tried to break it down for her, that it wasn't because I didn't want people there, but because I was a real mess and was in a wheelchair and that I wasn't in a position to entertain a group of people. She then starts to argue with me even more...telling me it's not about entertaining anyone. I was furious. She then started to argue with me about how if I had the money to go on a vacation, then why didn't I have the money to spend on tickets to broadway shows with her. (I hate broadway shows)
I'm done with this relationship. I thought I could maintain it to some extent. I can't. My other friends weren't upset that I cancelled the event, they totally were ok with it. I didn't want to have a social event in the condition that I was in, and I was/am entitled to cancel it. How dare this b**** call up here and pretend to be interested to know how my mom is doing, and then act like this. Who the hell does she think she is??
Here I had thought it was sad that this group of friends was winding down. I thought maybe I was overreacting by putting in distance. I wasn't. Clearly this particular person does not care about me, what is best for me, and how dangerous it could have been to host an event in that state. My doctor had told me if the break were to shift even a couple of centimeters, that I would be in very bad shape, in rods and halos around my leg. How dare this person go off on me about taking care of my health. I have blocked her numbers and am going to leave them on block. I want absolutely nothing to do with her.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

UR health comes first.
I had a similar thing happen to me, regarding this mentally person, his dad kept coming over, when I was younger, and says "his says this about this about that, is that true????" And his son had something to say about it, his parent's would bring him over, screaming and yelling incoherently.
Like Your Your friend, Who the hell do these people think they are,
But, Un-like Your friend, these people are not confrontational.
But, seem to be pushing people away.
That's another reason I un-friended my friend on facebook
I get that friendship's may have things to work out at times BUT if they need constant 'talks' to work out issues for me it wouldn't work
I have friend's from elementary school that I've never had a beef with
