Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Why do I have to be this way! I don’t like it!
To start you are in the right place here, Whatswrong19 said it well as acceptance in self,
I know I’m like this now what? Well you look normal here, you just described more than half the ppl here, we are all going through this as the collective group. Don’t disregard from your thoughts or emotions here as you can help others realize their own. You helped me today feel like I am not alone!
Thank you my friend!
It helps just hearing, knowing I'm not as alone as I sometimes feel.
1) they back away.
Avoid me because they don't know how to deal with me.
Or
2) they get angry.
They say things like suck it up , get over it or that I'm just seeking attention. That I need to grow up.
Or
3) they get hurt or scared.
They feel my being depressed is somehow a reflection on them.
Or they drag me off to the hospital.
Just because I think about suicide a lot DOES Not mean I'm going to do it.
These people can't seam to understand that. Sigh..
I really really want to be honest and need to let it out. But can't.
I have no one who can listen.
