Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am shy but it's not just that. I have a problem in generally with people. I seem to have different values than those i am around. people see me and treat me in a way (negative) that I don't see myself as. I can't form friendships or relationships. People anger and offend me very easily with what i preceive is their insensitivty and cruelty. i work at a place where there are cliques and mean girls and all that. usually i can brush it off but now that i am having so much family stress and physical problems it is really gettting to me. i called in sick to day feeling just awful, weak, bad headache, nausea. used my last sick day. my job is in jeopardy. i am thinking of sending my family a very firm and somewhat nasty email because they are causing me so much stress to the point i am afraid i won't be able to continue working and then i'll be out on the street. i'm too tired and sick to call the suicide hotline. i think if i wasn't so scard to kill myself i would do it even if i don't believe in it becaue i cant stand the pain and injustice anymore. it seems like there is no way out. i am suffocating. i need respect and love to live and i don't have it. i have a counsellor but that is helping. it never does. they are usually more screwed up then their patients.

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

Knowing what's wrong with you can be a very important step towards starting to make things go right. You say you don't do people well. That's kind of a trigger phrase for me. Go do an aspergers test online. See if maybe you are in that spectrum. If you are, then you will have a place to start, and counselling and care which are actually targeted at what's really the problem.
If you're not, then obviously you'll have to think of something else. But try this. It might help.
Take care,
