Owlnerd posted a topic titled "feeling overwhelmed." Having felt much like she does about cleaning up, many times, I could relate too well. I mentioned in the comments that we should all do some cleaning this weekend and share our successes. So here's mine. I cleaned the kitchen except the floor (my daughter wants to do that when she comes back tomorrow, and I'm not fighting that). I worked on the living room and at least got it picked up and vacuumed. The coffee table and "dining room table" (we've never actually dined at it) still need clearing. And several loads of laundry have gone through. I could have done more if I hadn't farted around half the day both days, but it's better than nothing, so I'm pleased. I'd like to invite anyone and everyone (you too, owlnerd!) to share what they got done this weekend. If nothing got done, don't beat yourselves up - sometimes it's just too much. Which is why the rest of my house still needs a ton of work. When all we feel like doing is nothing, any task finished is great. Let's celebrate it!

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Next challenge: groceries!
As for other stuff, I have a compost bin in the yard and it sort of fell apart. About 5 years ago. Perhaps more like 10. My daughter is helping me rebuild it and we got the hard part done!
I worked like crazy Saturday to get laundry and minor straightening done. And I cleaned the bird cages.
Drove 3 hours down and 3 hours back on Sunday to see friends I have not seen in a while. When I am with friends my depression is SO under control Started to cry on the way back..
