Out of control day

I started my day with my wife (whom I am separated from atm) sending me videos of my daughter. Oh the emotions today are out of control. Its hard for me to be vunerable to emotions. Growing up being taught that i was to never let anyone else see "bad" emotions that showed weakness or flaws. I am just out of control emotionally today....

You can unlearn what you were taught in childhood. It takes time and maybe a therapist can help you. They can also help you deal with your situation with the separation.

Try listening to soothing music, exercising, meditating, writing in a journal
when you have extra bad days.

Wow I grew up like that, being shown/told never to show emotions. It wasn't until I moved out away from my family that was doing that, I left at a young age, my sisters stayed and they are really messed up. I'm glad I left at a young age.
After I moved, years later, I still had problems w/those issues, and yes I went to counseling which helped me tremendously. Anxeity/depression, I had it all. I needed help and sought it out. Meditaiton helps too! Good luck!
