Hi, So I'm new here. This website is the first forum type experience I've had. This is also the first support group type of experience I've had so I'm a little nervous about it.
Lately I've been feeling really depressed. My doctor added another medication to what I'm already taking, Lamictil(the new one). I like to speak with others who understand. I find it more comforting, where as going to the doctor or therapist they don't have that same empathy and true understanding. They have a medical understanding of what it is but not an experienced understanding.
Anyways:) Thanks for reading this. If you girls/guys ever need anyone to chat with or listen, I'm here so add me or message me. Again thanks. Hope you all are doing well!

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

Physicians have a high prescription drug abuse rate, and suicide rate.
Betcha didn't know that. Many are incredibly stressed, which can lead to depression.
Doctors are just human too.
Welcome to the group.
Wetnoddle, I did know that. Going to see them is different than talking with someone who Admits they have a problem instead of hiding it or not talking with you about it. Some May have empathy but lack to share it with you on a personal level. ie: "I understand how that feels, I feel the same way sometimes." Or "Sometimes I just wanna curl up in a corner too!" Things you'll never hear from your psychiatrists mouth lol. Anyways, I understand what your saying. :) Thank you also for welcoming me.
