I have always been successful whether it be music, plumbing or what ever. This year I have lost a lot of my physical drive and have not been able to do much without becoming sick. There are things that I won't go into that have really put me in a jeopardy of losing my life.I've spent all my money and lost all my work trying to survive. Now it's Christmas,my favorite time of year, because I can give back generously.this year I have no Christmas spirit and haven't even tried to do anything related to this great time of year.My question is,how do poor people celebrate Christmas? This is my first year in 45 years that I have nothing and I'm in the process of being thrown out of my home by the 1st.I need some way of making the best of this, but I feel as if I've been punch in the stomach and the depression is overwhelming. Please help me,I'm worn out.Dale

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Maybe you should focus on helping those that have even less than you (keeping in mind that you are now among the ranks of the "poor people"). I bet you could find a soup kitchen, a homeless shelter, a church, a community center, a senior center in your area that has a holiday meal going on in which you could volunteer. It may help to put things into perspective for you.
We didn't even have money for a tree this year, so we decorated the ficus tree in my living room. Ha!
Just one more week and it'll be over.... thank goodness :)
Sorry you're dealing with so much at the moment. Just know you aren't alone...
Is there a tradition you have? Do it the best you can, and focus iti more on togetherness and love instead of money.
I've had amazingly special Christmases drinking sparkling grape juice out of plastic champagne glasses and watching Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, if that makes you feel any better. You can make anything magic.
i do wanna say I'm very sorry about your house. I've never had one to be evicted from, of my own, but I've been booted from an apartment and it's a truly crappy feeling. Hugs toy ou.
I think wealth, generosity and the christmas spirit are all displayed not by material items, but by the time, love and care you give to others.
I've been poor all my life, and I've always celebrated by giving the thing I value most - my time.
I hope your new year brings you relief, stability and happiness.
