Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Tomorrow is my Mom's first anniversary. I'm having a hard time. I was at work and when I came home I found her on the floor gone. I had a feeling something was going to happen to her but not her passing. I'm so lost and numb again. I'm not eating sleeping again. All I do is toss and turn. I lost my Dad 6 years ago. Now I have lost both parents and I'm an orphan. How do I get past this. All I want to do is die and forget about everything. My babies fur babies can be so much better off without me. And christmas next I'm not sure if I can make it on my own. I just can't do it no more. I wish I didn't have to lose both of my parents.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

ya know what though.. If if go out and sit quietly i can still feel my parents. And often in a richer place, like in a deeper way. I feel them with my heart, more so now.
Pain makes us do this.. it turns us around to look at what is there.. the heart, love, a silence that whispers to us.. try it.
also.. regarding christmas.. eh.. buy yourself something, and set a date with yourself to take a walk on a trail. I do that a lot each holiday. I dont like small talk and having to be someone at a table. Id rather take that day for ME.
i hope this helps.. and dont take this the wrong way i am not being snyde..
you are alone .... ALL ONE a new adventure awaits for you starchild.
While I hope that you have moments of happy memories
I have found that sometimes not expecting too much from yourself
is helpful.
Sending hugs
I pray all of you are doing better. Sending you big hugs and prayers
