Some therapists will work on a sliding scale according to what you can pay. Some pastoral therapists do this some private therapists do. I went to a pastoral therapist years ago because it was cheap and I wasn't their religion. But it didn't matter. See if you can start with a source or two to start school. Maybe it won't cost a lot if you take the course online.

Be proud of yourself for having the income to take care of your responsibilities. That's mature. I know it gets old when you probably don't have much leisure money but you're taking care of business. Keep it up!

ya life is tough and we have to make the right discussion. i deal with panic attacks now and then and when i have it, its hard to figure out what to do, hospital visit or just take my clonapin pill and rest it out. i have my good days and bad days. just wish i would not get theses panic attacks from no where and make me stop doing what i like to do in life and enjoy seeing friends. but i take 1 day at a time

I take $50 out of each of my paychecks and put it in savings. It adds up quickly. Maybe you can only do $20? That still is progress! Just take things day by day and one day all this hard work will pay off. I have to believe that! If I don't I will give up because I'm so tired. But we can both do this. Hang in there friend.

I'm trying to make my life better not only for myself but for my boyfriend. He's too sick to work and at some point may serious medical bills. I'm so tired. I know school is a necessity especially for a vet tech but it seems so impossible right now. :/ i would pick up another job but last time I did that I had a serious mental breakdown.

Alexanna, you're going to have to take a hard decision one way or the other. I suggest crying, going to bed for a few days, and figuring out what is going to have to give. They are all important, but one is going to have to take precedence over the others.

How sick is your boyfriend, and why? When I grew up, we were raised never to choose the sick kitten, and never to choose the sick boyfriend. That sounds harsh but if they can't pay the bills how can you raise a family?

If that seems too mean of me, then let me ask - why is the boyfriend not on a sickness benefit? why are you covering all the bills? Where are his parents in all this?

There's more people who could be involved than just you. And your boyfriend, no matter how sick, needs to work out how he will pay his way. harsh I know... but everyone has to contribute.

Maybe he can grow oyster mushrooms or paint mandalas on rocks. If he's not a quadraplegic, he can contribute.

We are literally waiting for his medical to go through. He can't get any assistance until his medical has gone through. He's got crohn's disease. I was taught to never abandon those close to you no matter how tough things get. I refuse to leave him.
