I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

You can't change the past but you can change your future!!
It takes a lot of courage to admit our mistakes. Work hard, get clean ,Don't give up on yourself. EVER!!
I wish you the best. Stay in touch. I would love to hear how your doing.
They are the solution right???
Pretty rubbish that society didn't support you and help you recover. Let society take some of the blame!!!
Go join the twelve step fellowship nothing like twice daily meetings brainwashing you into being sober! Work the twelve steps take part, it does work usually if God is involved. Although you get loads in there who don't work the steps with God and they how make it
Basically you have a physical allergy to drink and drugs and once you have the first drink or hit.... You compulsively use with an inability to stop
Then there is the mental blank spot, where a form of insanity prevents you from remembering the awful consequences of even a week ago and you get somehow tricked into drinking and using again
It is insane to do something harmful again and again
Go do the twelve steps. I personally learnt to email someone whenever I wanted to relapse and I would get through
You can do it, it can be done, you can be free from the obsession to drink and drug
Heck, come see me I'll take you through the steps in a weekend
No need to feel bad about this anymore there is a solution, your genetic illness with regards to drink and drugs has a solution
Go do it
Accept the past, it will help others one day, it will be the keys to their salvation
You can sort all this pain out,
Time to calm down that's the first step.
Deep breaths
Plenty of people hit situations that make them want to die because they want the painful situation to end
But that doesn't have to be you
You have options
You can change yourself by
Accepting the problem
You can change the problem
And if you read the "Road Less travelled" you will note that problems as a norm take long term action to overcome, just people aren't educated that such perseverance is often required
I
Or abandon the problem
Or you can continue to suffer
I know it's tempting to go with the flow of your feelings, but sometimes a bit of logic instead of feeling makes tough times easier to get through and pass
So the solution is NOT to kill yourself, .. it is to dump the drugs and alcohol by whatever conventional means.
Killing yourself would harm those kids MORE ... for LIFE. Take all three ... suicide, drugs, alcohol off your table and start having a JOYFUL life.
