Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am 15 and my freshman year of highschool is almost over. FINALLY. It is so hard. I went through a lot of shit this year with fake friends and low self esteem and also severe anxiety. It soon led to depression. I have such great days and then there are days where I literally wanna curl up in a ball and not talk to anyone. Does anyone have any advice for dealing with depression in highschool? I'm not currently taking any antidepressants but I don't know if I should be. I cried for 5 hours on my BIRTHDAY because I was so extremely depressed. Please help.

Can't wait to burn my pumpkin spice candle! National Coffee Day is coming up on the 29th so I hope to score up on a free coffee.
I wish I had some advice for you but I can only tell you that high school is only a blip on the radar screen of your life. I always felt out of sorts in high school, not popular, not super smart, not cute.... but I made it through somehow. The people I was friends with back then are no longer a part of my life, and I've learned to accept that and be okay with it.
I'm sorry you're feeling so sad, I'm here if you want to chat.
