hi all -
i have to be honest...this community is really frustrating me right now.
the in-fighting and general focus seems to have turned in the last few days, and that's just not acceptable. while we generally try to take a backseat and let people figure things out amongst themselves, it doesn't seem to be working.
we are going to temporarily more aggressively patrol this community, and we are going to delete discussions and comments that are either rude, inappropriate or fail to advance the mission of this community - which is people helping people. we WILL ban folks from DS who prove to not be able to control their temper.
we are going to be much harder about enforcing the rules here, and i ask all of you to think twice before you post something inappropriate. if someone else breaks the rules, DO NOT respond with venom of your own...instead, tell us.
i understand that some of you aren't happy with our new categories and attempts we're making to improve the features for this large community, and that's fine...but it shouldn't be the entire focus of this group. in about 2 weeks, we're going to have a new community where a member can talk directly to DS about their ideas or issues. please understand that our changes are a work in progress, and we are listening.
lastly, we at DailyStrength don't want to get into a "he said, she said" argument about who's wrong. our focus is simply getting the community back to it's original, and core mission, which is supporting each other.
as i've said before, i suffer from depression just like the rest of you. i come to this community not as a job, but as a personal support tool for me as well. it needs to get back to that.

this post was made before i was even a member and though some things have been put into place the problem to me is way out of control. i dont know if Doug is even reading this anymore. But I have not posted in quite a few weeks because i find it quite disturbing that when someone post things about someone here onto another web site which violates the anomity that there is suspose to be here but then lets this same person back in....well i have a big problem with that and probaly will not be back. i have popped in a few times to see if things are still the same...and end up leaving as i see they are. oh i know it probaly doesnt matter to many if i leave or stay but wondering how many others have walked out due to the latest things.
Having said all that, I truly and deeply appreciate this site and the great frinds and support I receive here. I have no intention of leving, and fully support everything you do to make DS a better place.
