Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
The number one important thing for you understand is that the thoughts themselves are symptoms. They may seem "true" or "correct" but they are not.
It can be very difficult to navigate the subrle nuances of this disease, it takes some practice and support, but it can be done, is being done by vasr numbers of depression survivors
Your post calls out for some contact, .. and it will help if you give a bit more information. Do that WITH ANONYMITY though.
Why did you call a crisis line?
It may be difficult, but to be helpful, we need to know more about 'these' feelings and thoughts.
As you know, isolating is not the greatest practice. Removing ourselves from our environment compromises life. That is not a fix. The fix comes from the medical profession. I urge you to seek medical diagnosis and treatment plan. I don't know what your issues are, clinically speaking so a diagnosis would probably be the first thing.
Good luck, ... and again ... welcome to DS.
Take care and stay safe,
Maud
