Good morning everyone!  It's my birthday month.  I'll be 64.  I do favor even numbers.  I cannot believe that I will be 64.  I will party like a rock star anyway!  Haha!  Today I am cleaning my kitchen and tomorrow I am going to the store to buy everything to make a fruit salad for my brother's BBQ on Sunday.  I can't forget the Cool Whip.  Yum!  Anyone else having bbqs this weekend?  Any vacation plans coming up?  Today is the 3 year anniversary of me being on SSDI.  I have been putting off getting a part-time job but I promised myself that I would try to find a job this month.  I really need the money.  It will be good for me in other ways too.  I actually saw one that sparked my interest today but it's for a medical facility and I realized that I would have to wear a mask.  I have a real aversion to masks.  Darn!  I don't have a resume either as my computer died in 2017.  There is a staffing agency that I want to check out.  I am thinking they may be able to help me with a resume or there seems to be a way of doing an Indeed resume.  Wish me luck!  Happy July everybody!

Thanks Maria! The thing is that I am not looking for a legal secretary position and that is where my experience is. I believe a medication change in 2009 changed me. I started making mistakes and not behaving like a seasoned secretary. So I want something like a receptionist position or data entry. My favorite job of all time was a hostess position. But I am really out of shape. Bad! Well, happy 4th to you too!

try a job local vets office to be their front door receptionist and part time....because there is a limit on money you can earn per month of $940 per month or it becomes what they call a trial work month and you get 9 trial work months in six years before they move you to different program where you could end up having to pay back the SSDI payment if you make X amount in a month.....I do not know X amount but am very versed in knowing about trial work months....and if you work for yourself like walking dogs or cat sitting then you get to take out your business expenses....or just completely work under the table and not report the income>>>> :-0) LOL

Happy 64th this month.....I am 64 now and in Nov. I turn 65.....

Thanks Bill! I thought I could make $1,350. I will double-check with SS. What year did you graduate high school? I graduated in the bicentennial year 1976.

Thanks Mel! I ended up being sick yesterday and couldn't make the bbq. I have over $20 worth of fruit in the house. I felt really bad about not going.
