Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Things were a little better today. It's been challenging with the depression, ideation, etc. In the middle of the work harassment fiasco, I got an email out of the blue from a recruiter after many, many rejections and not even a chance of interviewing, I got a first round interview! Lately, I believe less in coincidences. It's hard to have faith and belief, and I don't mean to cause offense to anyone here, but I started praying. I'll never be able to prove that praying actuallly works, but it's enough coincidences to suggest to me that it's a pattern. After literally like nine months of applications and almost no interviews, I got a first round interview today with a company that I didn't even apply to. It was over a secure chat and I think it went well. Maybe I will get this job and maybe I won't, I don't know. I would have to get a second interview, but it is an excellent opportunity.
I've been listening to a you tuber that has to do with human resources and he said the best way to get out of a bad job is to put your focus on finding a new one. Good advice. I was literally on the phone with a lawyer when the request for the technical interview went through and I hung up with the lawyer. I was available as I'm home for medical reasons so we had the interview over a secure chat. It was technical and they will be reviewing my responses. I am grateful for the interview. They were extremely polite and professional, made a really good impression. A lot different than what I am experiencing now.

I can't believe this has gone on this long. So I don't have much hope of getting a tech job, but I saw an educational job that I thought might be really good. It would have been working at a university supporting high school students who are taking college classes. I did a mock interview with a friend and prepared extensively. It was at the university that I graduated from. I was very excited...

I'm so depressed right now it's overwhelming, my mom might not make it, she has been there for me through my depression and anxiety, when no one else was. My siblings don't give any support and jus say I'm crazy. They are ignorant and cold when it comes to mental health. I feel so alone now knowing she won't be there to talk too and try to understand best she could, Always loving without...
One thing i see is stop worrying about triggering people. If they don't like it they know where the door is.
On this:
"It's hard to have faith and belief, and I don't mean to cause offense to anyone here, but I started praying. I'll never be able to prove that praying actuallly works, but it's enough coincidences to suggest to me that it's a pattern."
Don't worry about offending anyone about praying to God. Be red hot about God and not lukewarm. Prayer works and while we may not get what we wanted from prayer God always gives what we need.
I hope you get the second interview but i'm a little leary of an interview somewhere you didn't apply. Is it possible a recruiter you work with sent in your resume? If not it may be a scam just be careful.
