Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I still agree on most things, because we don't get to have a lengthy chat with everyone about what they want, the golden rule is golden.
i'm sorry you'll be alone.
if you do unto others, you have no thoughts about harming another soul.
it just isn't a part of any equation.
it's kinda' like the whole `it is our right to have a gun for protection' and then lead the murder rate for negligent homicide.
and if it is horrific punishment, we're no better than them, y'know???
Stopping someone after they do something horrible before they do it to someone else does make you better... harsher punishments is totally what the world needs... we can't just expect people to be good... that is the problem... people see the world the way they wish it could be instead of the way it is.
BE GONE to the naysayers.
I love your kind spirit and while I fail sometimes, I really try to be kind to everyone.
I feel badly about myself when I treat other people badly. Even if the other person isn't nice to me if I treat them the way I want to be treated, I at least get to feel good about myself
In general, yes I agree with 'The Golden Rule'. But it truly does not always work that way.....especially in relationships. I think we all express love in different ways, and what makes me happy may not make you happy.
People aren't always vocal about what their specific needs are, and when it comes to loved ones, well I feel it's very important to be attentive.
This is a big reason as to why my marriage failed. For a very long time we were treating each other the way we wished to be treated.... which was not at all what the other wanted.
Reading it back, I'm not so sure I got my point across :/
How much more clear can it be? It isn't even difficult.
Reading this post made me think...that's not really following the Golden Rule.
What do I want? (in a relationship)? To have my partner understand what I want, and to understand what they want. Simple.
So following the Rule, I shouldn't have assumed, and I should have sought out how he wanted to be treated, as I hope he would do for me.
Damn I hope that made sense, because it has messed up my brain trying to say that in any way that even looks coherent LOL
Golden Rule. Can't go wrong...just needs a little thought in certain situations :)
